Nigel’s demonstration was as inspirational, informative and enjoyable as always - as can be seen from the results below!

  • Nigel will be demonstrating in oils but you can bring acrylics or watercolour if you prefer.

    Here is Nigel’s suggested list of materials to bring:

    A range of colours - Winsor & Newton, Daler Rowney or similar - 37ml tubes

    Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Red, Crimson, Cobalt Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Sap Green, Viridian Green, Burnt Umber, Burnt Sienna, Titanium White

    1 tube of Burnt Sienna Acrylic

    Thinners

    Flow Medium

    Sansoder

    Liquin

    Brushes - synthetic - Flats No. 0, 4, 6, 8, 10. Rounds No. 1

    Palette - Tear off sheet type or white plastic

    Jar for mediums - 2 small

    Surfaces - canvas board, oil painting paper - sizes 10×14 to 12×16

    Kitchen roll

    If painting in Acrylics - same colours & Brushes - but no Liquin or Sansoder

    If painting in Watercolour - same colours, watercolour brushes, watercolour paper and jar for water - no liquin or sansoder.
